It didn't begin in the typical fashion...
Bus Stop at 2nd Story Theater
Kyle wasn't born with a mic in his hand or the desire to entertain his family with impersonations. In fact he was rather shy. He avoided attention and read comic books by himself more than he hung out with friends. He took the stage for the first time in high school. It wasn't love at first play.
It wasn't until the end of Kyle's freshman year at the University of Rhode Island when he was approached by the chair of the theater department that things began to take shape. Three years later he graduated with a BFA in Acting and a minor in general business. Right after graduation Kyle was contacted by 2nd Story Theater and asked to join their company. It was here that he spent the next four years doing back to back shows and gaining state wide recognition. Acting had taken hold.
Kyle's first time on a TV set he was hand picked by the director to play a featured role as a child molester (Mom was so proud). The pilot never aired, but his curiosity had been peeked. After working on several others projects he packed up and drove out to Los Angeles.
Knowing that the battle had just begun, Kyle immediately went to work learning the ropes of the film and television world. Slowly but surely working his way up the ladder. "It's a marathon, not a sprint." Kyle has since been recognized in shows such as How I Met Your Mother, House, and Community as well as films like Burlesque and J. Edgar. Kyle's first speaking role was on the hit ABC show Happy Endings.
While in LA, Kyle became a host on A Podcast of Ice and Fire, the longest running podcast dedicate to George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. Due to the recent success of HBO's A Game of Thrones he has become more active and involved in the geek community. A community he has loved since reading all those comic books back in Rhode Island. Kyle hopes to expand his involvement in the coming weeks, months, and years.
